   Milestones:

  • In mid-May, 200 peasants received seeds bought with $5,000 sent to Haiti, two groups in Hinche and two in Gonaives--one of them, a 50 all-women group. (Monies came from donations sent in, donated through this website, and from a small grant from the Small Planet Fund).

  • The Caribbean Women Health Assocation at 21 Snyder Ave, between Flatbush and Bedford has offered us office space and soon we’ll have our own office/cubicle!

  • Haitian Students at Long Island University had a fundraiser and sent us a check for $1,409. Thank-you!

  • A small delegation went to Washington and knocked on some Congressmen and Congresswomen’s doors explaining the dire situation of the farmers in Haiti

  • Delegations: New England Observers Delegation to Haiti; medical delegations

  • Forums with speakers from grassroots organizations in Haiti
